THE JOURNEY OF FORGIVENESS The Jubilees of Rome

The Jubilee has been taking place for seven centuries and it marks the events of the Church and the city of Rome. Since the first Jubilee proclaimed by Boniface VIII in 1300, we have had an ancient history made of illustrious pilgrims and simple citizens; it is a sacred history (as required by this religious feast) and profane (as far as regards the logistic, urban and architectonic contexts supporting it). The author follows this event of the Church of Rome from the origins to the present.
